PROFILE OF OPEIBEA OMABOE
I am the Lieutenant Governor of Zonta District 18, 2022-2024 Biennium, seeking
confirmation of my nomination to the position of District Governor 2024 — 2026 Biennium.
I am a Charter Member of Zonta Club of Accra Il and have been an active Zontian for 27 years. In these years I held various positions within our Club including Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary, Director, Treasurer, Vice President, President and currently Board Member and Co-Chairperson of the Fund-Raising Committee.

At the District Level I was Chairman of the District Nominating Committee and Conference Chair for the 23 rd District 18 Conference held in Accra Ghana. I am currently Chairman of the Membership Committee of District 18. I recently assisted the District Governor at the
Charter Ceremony of Zonta Club of Kigali New Voice and was Installation Officer of the new Board and Members of ZC Kigali New Voice on 14th July 2023 in Kigali, Rwanda.

I am a Business Executive and Managing Director of Furnart Ghana Limited, a wood furniture and joinery manufacturing company. We employ over 100 male artisans and I have, since joining the Company, created opportunities for women to work in this male
dominated industry.

I believe in empowering and assisting women and the under privileged in society to achieve their goals in life irrespective of their economic circumstances. I advocate for us to use our combined responsibilities as Zontians to look not only at achieving the goals set by Zonta International but to look into how we can make a difference in District 18, our various countries and local communities all to the ultimate success of Zonta International and in line with globally empowering women and girls for a better and improved future.
