Message from the Governor

Greetings to the District Board, Committee Chairpersons, Area Directors, Club Presidents and all Zontians who started the 2020-2022 biennium with me, your District Governor.

2020 was indeed a year of tremendous and unusual challenges with the fierce attack of the Coronavirus, a pandemic which has grossly altered the functioning of the entire world.

Despite it all, I feel proud to acknowledge the strength, courage and vision of our International President, Sharon Langenbeck who regardless of the “New Normal” situation was able to transition Zonta into the first biennium of Zonta’s second century, with the theme: TRANSITION, CHANGES AND NEW OPPORTUNITIES.

Our commitment will always lie within the Zonta Golden Circle, the “WHY”, “HOW”, and “WHAT” of being a Zontian, regardless of any unforeseen circumstances.
Zontians, 2020 was indeed a difficult year – a year that left us with mixed memories around the world. As a district, the experience has brought us all even closer despite the devastating impact on families, jobs, and basic needs.
Nevertheless, I look forward to a better and healthier 2021 with you all. We are all in this together, working to carry out Zonta’s goals and mission worldwide.
